Book Recommendation for Beginners
If you are beginner struggling to find a right book then this recommendation is for you.
The joy of reading and the enthusiasm to complete a book as a beginner highly depends on your choice of picking books. If you pick up a wrong book it may ruin your interest in books.
When I first started reading books ,i used to choose wrong books at times – I picked up the classics, the books with complicated plot, the books with awful pathetic plot. I was not able to complete those books because I lost my interest halfway through the book and jumped to the next book. So if you are beginner don’t do the mistake which I did. Pick up the book which is easy to read, easy to understand and simple plot. Choose your books genre’s based on your movie preference.
These are the Five books which I read as a beginner
1) “The Boy Who Loved” and “The Boy With a Broken Heart” by Durjoy Dutta:
– (Rating 4 out of 5)
This story revolves around a 17 year old Raghu Ganguly who shows off everything is normal in his life though deep down he is filled with the guilt of letting his closest friend drown in the school’s swimming pool. And even as he punishes himself hiding from the world and to always feeling inclined to suicidal thoughts, he feels drawn to fascinating Brahmi – a girl quite like him, yet so different. As Raghu scrutinize over her unhateable amiable features to find something that he can hold as a reason to hate her with, his eyes wins the ridges of knife-made scars on her wrists. But it just eventually presses him to find the story behind it which make him befriend her and fall for her.
As they both find the way to forget the past and move on, the story brings a quirk plot .The first book in the series is narrated in the form of diary entries of Raghu Ganguly and the second one follows the diary entries of Advaita. The writing is so simple and fast paced so you can read it in one go. This book is an absolute page-turner. It is so emotional and there is so much drama going so you can’t put down this one once you pick it up.
Follow the story to know if love will be strong enough to make him face his worst fears and make him to reach his happy life along with Brahmi that their new hopes had given them with.
2) “Since You’ve Been Gone” by Morgan Matson – (Rating 4 out of 5)
Friendship – What does it give one? The care, affection, memories and sometimes even a life where we can feel like living.
“Since you’ve been gone” – It was Solane who brought Emily out of her shell and made her life 100% interesting.
But at a point, Solane suddenly disappears and all she leaves behind is a to-do-list.
When if it is only through the way checking things off from Solane’s list Emily could find her friend back, what will she do?
When the list goes as..
Apple picking at night? (Okay, easy enough)
Dance until dawn? (Sure. Why not?)
Kiss a stranger? (Um…!?)
Go skinny-dipping? (Waittttt….. whattttt ???)
Read the story to know more !!!
Since you have been gone is an appealing book about friendship and love. It mainly focus on Emily how she managed to came out of her shell to accomplish solane to do list and how she made friends and found the love of her life Frank potter along the way. Emily and solane friendship is heart warming .Emily and Frank potter journey to accomplish the to do list through out the book is amiable and delightful .
I just kind of had a problem with Sloane’s disappearance, the reason the book says for her disappearance was totally weird. But this book was so fun and cute. So if you are looking for an light-weight cute sub-urban teenage drama then give it a try.
3) “By Your Side” by Kasie West – (Rating 4 out of 5)
By your side is a YA fiction novel. Most YA books are easy to read and understand. And this story is about Autumn Collins who accidentally gets locked in library with Dax Miller who would be her least favorite person to be locked in with, for an extended weekend. She know only little about Dax that too with weird aspects – He’s spent some time in juvie, and he’s a popular loner in school.
Autumn is funny, smart and super awkward, and she is someone who has to deal with her anxiety problems. But Autumn hides her anxiety and panic attack from her friends and pretend to be normal because she doesn’t want to be a different one among her friends . First-half deals with how they survive in the library for a weekend and how they eventually start to open-up and share with each other. Second-half deals with her anxiety problems and how Dax helps her with her anxiety problems and how she accepts herself the way she is and mainly how they fall for each other.
I really like Kasie West’s writing. It’s so easy, simple and quick to read. Other Kasie West books are also perfect for beginners but I highly recommend this one. Not only about love and romance it also speaks about self-love and accepting oneself as they are.The way Kasie West explained all this, with simple characters and simple plot, is brilliant. This would be the perfect book for the beginners.
Read the book to find how things unfolds.. Change…

The writing is so good, Especially the lines Travis described their journey in the second half are beautifully written which will make you re-read the lines again and again. The writing is so simple and beautiful, well-paced – you can finish this book in one go. If you are looking for a beautifully-written romantic novel, then this the right book.
