Dimple Shah has it all figured out. Obsessed with coding she is going to Standford and studying web designing and want to become a career women. But all her mother want is for her to find the “Ideal Indian Husband” and settle down.

She is very much surprised when her parents, without arguments, allows her to attend a summer program for aspiring web developers insomnia con. It is because they want her to meet Rishi Patel, son of Mr. Shah’s close friend, karthik Patel .

Rishi Patel who is hopelessly romantic is totally onboard with arranged marriage and agrees to meet Dimple in the Con . Rishi Patel believes in the power of tradition and loving the idea arranged marriage he decides to give it a go.

Dimple unaware of her parents’ arrangement arrives at insomnia con and meets Rishi. They got on to a wrong start which ends up Dimple thinking of Rishi as some kind of crazy stalker and throws her coffee at him. After learning the truth from her parents she apologizes to Rishi but brutally says no for their arranged marriage plans.

Heart broken Rishi Patel decides to leave the camp but Dimple convinces him to stay as he is her Co-partner in developing the app. With 6 weeks of working alongside Rishi Patel, even after Dimple ‘s denial, there occurs a chance for romance.

Can there be a change of heart for Dimple after getting to know Rishi Patel and seeing his geninue sweet behavior?

There is definitely a change and chance and they did fall for each other.

It is so beautiful to read their journey. This book was funny, cute and adorable. It was an absolute delight to read. It was light hearted and I have a smile on my face the entire time.

Dimple is independent, outspoken and unafraid to be herself. She is so inspiring. And Rishi is so “adorkable“. He is the perfect guy, geniue and sweet through out the book.

Dimple helped him to realize his passion for comic book arts and pursue his dream. And Rishi showed her to love, respect and be a part of his family tradition without compromising her career .

They helped each other to become the better Person. I loved that about them. Dimple and Rishi are so cute as a couple. I loved the book. I loved the lead characters. It is adorable and heart warming.

I have given it 4 out of 5 stars rating. It is a well-written book. It is fast-paced, intense and definitely not boring. It is definitely a swoon worthy YA Romance.

If you’re looking for a sweet cute summer contemporary YA, this is it. Try it.

If you want to read more there is a companion novel “There’s something about Sweetie” with Ashish Patel (Rishi Patel’s brother) and Sweetie as lead characters.

And the sequel of “When Dimple met Rishi” —> “As kismet would have it” is gonna be releasing this year.

I’m super excited for the sequel.
